Verification Services in MyGS1
MyGS1 is a suite of exclusive member online tools to help you access services from GS1 New Zealand. For more information about all the services offered click here.
Online Verification Services Offered:
- Order verification reports on your bar codes - ensure your products scan first time, every time.
- View and download past verification reports
- Check on the progress of verfication reports
- NEW: Grant your trading partners access to your reports, (potentially removing the need for you to print and send your reports when submitting products to your trading partners.)
- NEW: Upload GS1 Australia verification reports
Order Verification Reports

Via MyGS1 you can order a verification report on your bar code.
1) Login into MyGS1 (call 0800 10 23 56 if you cannot remember your login details)
2) Click on 'Verify your barcode scans' then click on 'Order a verification report'
3) Fill out the form and submit the application.
4) Print out completed form and attach to your product and send to GS1 NZ Welington Office - The Woolstore Design Centre, 262 Thorndon Quay, Wellington.
View/Download Past Verification Reports

Via MyGS1 you can view and download past verification reports
1) Login into MyGS1 (call 0800 10 23 56 if you cannot remember your login details)
2) Click on 'Verify your barcode scans' then click on 'Search past reports'
Progress of Verification Reports

Via MyGS1 you can view the progress of your verification reports
1) Login into MyGS1 (call 0800 10 23 56 if you cannot remember your login details)
2) Click on 'Verify your barcode scans' then click on 'Search past reports'
3) Enter the bar code of the report you would like to view and then click 'Search'.
4) You will see the status of the report under the 'Status' title.
5) Click on the blue/white icon under the status, which will bring up the progress report - 'Audit History'
Granting Trading Partners Access to your Reports

Via MyGS1 you can grant your trading partners access to your GS1 verification reports
1) Login into MyGS1 (call 0800 10 23 56 if you cannot remember your login details)
2) Click on 'Verify your barcode scans' then click on 'Sharing your verification reports'
3) Under 'Share settings' you will be able to set up which trading partners you share your verification reports with and if they can see all reports or just successful 'pass' reports.
Please note: Only the main contact 'Organisations' Administrator' can change these settings. To find out who is your 'Organisations' Administrator' click on 'MyGS1 Dashboard' located under Main Menu.
Upload GS1 Australia Verification Reports

Via MyGS1 you can upload your GS1 Australia verification reports, as well as grant your trading partners access to these reports.
1) Login into MyGS1 (call 0800 10 23 56 if you cannot remember your login details)
2) Click on 'Verify your barcode scans' then click on 'Sharing your verification reports'
3) Under 'Upload and share other reports' you will be able to upload your GS1 Australia verification reports. (Currently only GS1 Australia and GS1 New Zealand reports are allowed to be uploaded. In the future Australia and New Zealand will extend mutual recognition to other GS1 countries' verification reports.) You can also select which trading partners are granted access to these reports.
